A new one-day industry event called Drink Tank will take place in London next month to explore trends reshaping the drinks sector.
The conference, organized by food and drink publishing and events company William Reed, is scheduled for Tuesday, November 10 at 1 America Square. It will gather buyers, operators, retailers, wholesalers, and suppliers from across the UK’s drinks industry.
Agenda focuses on health, innovation, and regulation
Editorial staff from William Reed’s publications, including The Grocer and The Morning Advertiser, curated the agenda. The program includes debates, talks, and fireside chats with industry leaders covering health and wellness, moderation, product innovation, legislation and regulation, packaging, and sustainability.

Health trends, especially the rise of GLP-1 medications and moderation movements, will receive significant attention. Discussions will address how these factors affect major drinks categories and what steps retailers and suppliers can take to adjust to changing consumer preferences.
Breakout sessions will offer insights from leading brands on specific categories. Topics include the expansion of ready-to-drink cocktails, the outlook for craft beer, approaches for wine to attract younger drinkers, and the future of functional soft drinks.
James Beeson, drinks editor at The Grocer, stated the drinks industry has experienced major upheaval since the COVID-19 pandemic. He explained that brands and retailers want answers about the effects of GLP-1 medications on alcohol consumption and how to leverage trends like the growing popularity of tequila and fibre-enriched products.

Tickets are available now, though pricing and capacity details were not released. The venue, 1 America Square, is a conference space in the City of London with good public transport links.
