A new partnership between International Bridge (IB) and Asendia USA aims to enhance parcel delivery services across the United States, particularly in non-continental areas where reliable and cost-effective shipping has historically been a challenge. By combining their expertise, IB, a U.S.-based logistics technology company with specialized knowledge of non-continental shipping, and Asendia USA, with its global reach and strong e-commerce connections, offer a direct-to-consumer solution tailored for brands expanding into the U.S. market.
Reliability and Performance
This collaboration enables the provision of real-time package tracking, proactive management of exceptions, and dedicated air transport for shipments to non-continental destinations. Delivery times are consistently fast, ranging from two to five days across the main U.S. routes. Data from 2025 indicates that packages reach Hawaii in approximately 2.6 days, Alaska in 3.3 days, and Puerto Rico in 2.2 days, with 98% of deliveries to metropolitan areas completed within four days.
Shipping to non-continental regions is a notably underserved aspect of the U.S. logistics sector. Areas such as Alaska, Puerto Rico, Hawaii, Guam, and the U.S. Virgin Islands represent growing markets that are often neglected due to the complexities and costs associated with serving them. The partnership between IB and Asendia USA addresses these challenges by offering a solution that emphasizes efficiency, simplicity, and dependable delivery.

Reducing Costs
IB’s proprietary routing technology and carrier relationships reduce costs by about 30 percent on qualifying non-continental shipments. Savings come from smarter carrier selection, volume advantages, fewer surcharges, and improved address validation that prevents failed deliveries. The result is a more efficient, scalable shipping strategy.
“One of Asendia USA’s largest clients, with three apparel brands experiencing rapid e-commerce growth, faced issues with prolonged delivery times to Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, and U.S. possessions, leading to customer complaints and lost business. However, with the solution provided by Asendia USA and International Bridge, delivery times were significantly improved from around two weeks to just three to six days. This enhancement in delivery speed, combined with competitive pricing and better visibility, has led to an improved customer experience and supported business expansion in these regions,” said Gary Shunk, Executive Vice President of Asendia USA.
Seamless Integration
International Bridge is fully integrated into Asendia USA’s operational systems, ensuring a seamless experience for the end customer. Shipments are processed through a unified system, complete with consistent tracking, labeling, and reporting. Customers benefit from a single integration point, straightforward onboarding, and ongoing support, including live customer service available Monday through Friday around the clock and Saturday from 9:30am to 1:30pm MST, along with 24/7 tracking and self-service tools.
